Near the hotel, the 18-hole Gerre Losone course designed by the Ticino architect Peter Harradine to provide an enjoyable challenge for golfers, wends its way amongst countless streams, lakes and hills.
Ascona has the Golf Club Patriziale, founded in 1926, another top class course. The Ascona Golf Club provides a perfect balance between tradition and innovation and in 1999 came first in the ranking of Switzerland’s top golf courses. The course is fairly flat yet challenging in terms of technical skills required; champions and beginners alike will enjoy this testing course.
Less than an hour’s drive from the hotel there are also dozens of other golf courses including many in nearby Italy.
